The closer we get to spring, the more I’m dreaming of color… Smokey lavender purple, pale icy blue, sage green, dark denim blue… I love my black and gray looks, but I always want a touch more color in spring.
So, I’ve added a couple of limited edition seasonal colors to my classic Small Circle Earrings‘ color palette: meet Chartreuse Green and Lavender Purple! (Scroll down in my shop to see them — they’re below the black pair.)
These new colors won’t stay in stock forever — I need to make room for the next season. So if you love them, check them out now!
Want to be the first to hear about new colors and styles?
PS Just here for my studio flowers? This gorgeous orchid is Dendrobium ‘Green Flash’ — it’s been a reliable bloomer for me for years! I bought mine from Seattle Orchid.
Is anyone else ready for spring? This week’s style sketch outfits are inspired by gray Seattle skies, the pale shimmer of rainbow on ice — and the first signs of spring. Tiny green leaves, the first daffodils, a spark of bright yellow forsythia on bare stems — it must be coming soon, right? In the meantime, I’m searching for any glimpse of color, itching to add a new touch to my personal style.
Above: a dark gray cardigan and pale gray tee, brightened up with a celadon green scarf and my pale rainbow small circle earrings. With faded jeans, pale lip gloss, and some shimmering opalescent nails, this would be perfect for a walk in the garden in late winter, searching for snowdrops and witch hazel. (If only if would stop raining!)
Above: a dark gray cardigan and pale gray tee, with an unexpected shot of color from a pale yellow scarf, made a touch more sophisticated with my small circle earrings in black. (Black, yellow, and gray are such a wonderfully underutilized color combination — so classic, without ever feeling stuffy!) I’d add subtle ombre nails flowing from yellow into green — maybe even pale metallics? — with crisp black cat eyeliner and a short spiky bob. (Curly girls, feel free to sub an edgy pixie!) Unconventional yet classic, definitely modern, not too edgy for the office. Show your style!
Above: same dark gray cardigan and pale gray tee, with little shocks of color from a chartreuse scarf and my small circle earrings in navy blue. I think a coral lip would be so fun with this (it’s brighter than my normal look, but I’m a little desperate for color right now. Aren’t you?) I’d do a messy bun for that casual-chic look, and pick up the spark again with chartreuse nails (or maybe navy with a green accent, possibly even green tips?)
Here are four style sketches for day to night outfit inspiration, featuring a sleeveless wrap top (casual or fancy, your choice), paired with a lightweight cardigan in black and Wraptillion’s small modern circle earrings in a range of colors. Don’t be afraid to mix it up — trying a new style can be simple!
