Late winter into early spring is such a tricky season… Still cold, still dark, but part of me yearns for the first glimpses of color. It’s so beautiful in my garden, though. I couldn’t resist bringing that botanical inspiration into my studio for some Mechanical Garden collection jewelry photos.

After this photoshoot, my studio smelled of rosemary, lavender, thyme, and violets. It feels like my own tiny, everyday version of paradise.

Best of all, I’ll be admiring the leftover “models” all week as my studio flowers!

Three small everyday winter flower arrangements, featuring bare plum branches, evergreen leaves such as salal and mahonia, and a few early spring flowers like primrose, snowdrop, and violet, all in ceramic vases.
